Texture
Hair texture is measured by
the degree of fineness or
coarseness of your hair,
which varies according to
the diameter of each
individual hair.
Within the four texture
ranges hair can also be
thin, medium or thick
density and it can be
straight, curly, wavy or
kinky. Hair condition will
also alter the ultimate
equation and can be healthy,
normal, oily, dry, damaged
or a combination.
There are four main types of
hair texture
Fine, Medium, Coarse and
Wiry.
Fine hair:
Fine hair is very very thin
/ small in depth, and
fittingly to be weightless
and flyaway. Frequently,
it's quite straight and
won't hold a curl
effortlessly.
Medium hair:
If your hair is not flyaway
or fine, thick and coarse,
it is medium.
Coarse hair:
Coarse hair has a thick
diameter and frequently, may
have rough
(raised) feeling cuticle and
has a tendency to not show
a full test
curl with a perm.
Hair texture varies from
individual to individual,
and can be different in
separate areas of the same
head. You may have coarse
hair on the top of the head
and fine hair at the nape of
the neck.
