Chunking

Chunking highlights are a type of size in highlighting. Chunking highlights come in lots of bolder and brighter colors. Chunking can create a trendy and customized look with thicker strands of color put in. 

Low-lighting

Low-lighting comes in darker shades of color. 

Successful hair highlights also depend on your hair's health and texture, the amount of time the chemicals stay on and the number of hair highlights you want.

 Before highlighting dark hair, it is bleached.

Then selected highlight shade is applied.

Hair specialists may use foil to highlight hair.  

Difference between highlighting and coloring hair,

hair coloring applies to using the color on the entire hair.

Highlighting on the other hand is adding color only on certain strands.

The highlight shades are usually bright and have a metallic tint.
