If the hair cuticles are cracked, chipped, roughened or worn off it is called as damaged hair.

  Often bleaching, dyeing, perming, straightening the hair

To correct the Damaged caused to Hair may take time or/ and effort.

The proper treatment may correct the damage but, sometime patient may have to wait for new hair to grow.

Tips for damaged hair care -

 

 

  • ·        Avoid too often washing, bleaching, dyeing, perming, straightening the hair

  • ·        Avoid forcefully hair rubbing that may cause hair to break off.

  • ·        Avoid stressful situations that may prompt hair loss.

  • ·         Hair may be washed once in about 3 days.  

  • ·        Comb the hair gently with wide toothed comb.  

  • ·         Keep hair hydrated with mild shampoo and rich conditioner. Use extra gentle shampoo for color treated hair.

  • ·         Use proper conditioner (under expert guidance). Moisture and protein content in the conditioner protects the hair from  harmful sun rays and harsh winds by forming a film on the hair shaft.

  • ·         Rinse hair properly ensuring no product like, conditioner, shampoo remains after washing.

  • ·          In normal condition allow your hair to dry naturally without using hair dryer. If used then take care that, heat from dryers or such a tools not damaging hair.

  • ·          Using scarf or cap outside may be good.

  • ·          Avoid extreme exposure to the sun. 

  • ·          Regular head massage stimulate the scalp strengthening hair roots and   improving blood circulation.

  • ·         Avoid too hot water for hair washing.

  • ·         Trim the hair to avoid split ends.

  • ·          Be careful when using hair accessories.
